These notes are devoted to Ukrainian University mission – a role it is going to assume in society. We are aware that this mission is of a high function and high responsibility.
Ukrainian University goal is to become a global leader in Ukrainian education and scholarship.
Ukrainian University aims to consolidate, multiply and to carry knowledge of Ukraine to the world by bringing together, uniting around it the best professors and scholars of the worldwide Ukrainian community.
Ukrainian University priorities are as following:
– EDUCATION as popularization and dissemination of knowledge about Ukraine among the general public among Ukrainians and other nations around the world;
– EDUCATION as training in various branches of Ukrainian studies ranging from undergraduate education (specialists) and ending with the diploma and doctoral education and post-doctoral training and retraining;
– SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH as organization and implementation of a broad spectrum of complex scientific research in all areas of Ukrainian studies and publication of the results of these studies.
Ukrainian University will work on its aims in the mentioned areas using all available means, such as:
– Social networks, lectures and seminars, etc;
– Training teachers and university researchers, teachers and lecturers among Ukrainian social activists and political leaders;
– Publication and popularization of scientific research, organization and holding of symposiums, conferences, seminars, discussions and others.
As an institution of the XXI century, Ukrainian University will use online forms and methods of learning and dissemination of knowledge and publications of scientific research results. However, we also won’t ignore traditional forms and methods of teaching, etc.
We are already laying foundations for Ukrainian University education certification and scientific products. For obvious reasons, we will begin to issue certificates that show taking part in our programs, but will not have the status of official diplomas. After receiving the accreditation and acquiring official status of Ukrainian University we will gradually implement relevant degrees and diplomas in accordance with US standards of higher education and later eventually of those countries where we will have our centers and branch offices.
Ukrainian University teaching teams are going to be formed via involvement of university professors from Ukraine and other countries later to be gradually replaced with those trained by Ukrainian University itself.
Ukrainian University scientific researches are going to be conducted by involvement of Ukrainian scholars who live and work in Ukraine and other countries later to be gradually replaced with trained by Ukrainian University itself.
We will develop and widely implement online forms by publishing research works in online scientific Ukrainian University Journal. Over time, this journal will get a traditional paper form as well. Monographs and collections of articles will be published as books.
During discussions of previously published information regarding Ukrainian University, our readers are mostly interested in two questions: financing and working languages Ukrainian University.
Ukrainian University funding will depend on appropriate assistance from foundations and funds (grants) via sponsorship and donations, fees, income from performed researches, etc.
Ukrainian University working languages on the first stage, during its formation and development, are going to be Ukrainian and English. Over time, we will add other languages of countries in which Ukrainian University branches will be opened.
